GNOMON brings myHealth@myHands to Athens Digital Health Week 2026

A closed workshop on vaccination-card specifications with EUVAC and the Xt-EHR Joint Action, and two open sessions on what the EU Digital Identity Wallet will change for citizens.

Thessaloniki, 01.03.2026 – GNOMON INFORMATICS S.A. took part in three sessions on the project at Athens Digital Health Week 2026, held in Athens from 16 to 20 February. myHealth@myHands aims to give every EU citizen secure online access to their own health records by 2030, together with control over who can see them.

One vaccination record, wherever you are in Europe

On Thursday 19 February, GNOMON took part in the closed workshop “EUVac, Xt-EHR & MyHealth@MyHands”. It brought together three EU initiatives that build on shared foundations: EUVAC, the EU4Health project establishing the European Vaccination Card as a service over MyHealth@EU; the Xt-EHR Joint Action, which is defining the common format for exchanging electronic health records under the European Health Data Space; and myHealth@myHands.

The workshop focused on aligning the specifications for a vaccination card across EUVAC, myHealth@myHands and MyHealth@EU, the infrastructure through which EU countries exchange health data for cross-border care. The aim is a vaccination record that follows the same rules whether a doctor retrieves it from another country or a citizen presents it from the EU Digital Identity Wallet. Aligning at the specification stage avoids parallel solutions, and helps build a record that citizens, health professionals and authorities can rely on across borders.

What the EU Digital Identity Wallet will change for citizens

On Friday 20 February, GNOMON presented in both parts of the open session “New Services for European Citizens – Wallet & Digital Health Services”, which opened with a multi-project overview and continued in technical and business tracks. GNOMON’s theme was how the adoption of the EU Digital Identity Wallet will make citizens’ everyday lives easier.

With the wallet on their phone, people will be able to prove who they are and share their health information securely, at home or abroad, and decide who may see it. Patients will no longer need to carry paper files or repeat complex medical histories to every new doctor. Health professionals abroad will get faster access to essential information, in their own language.

GNOMON’s role in myHealth@myHands

In myHealth@myHands, GNOMON leads the core infrastructure design, bringing its experience as a provider of infrastructure for the National Contact Points for eHealth, each country’s gateway to MyHealth@EU. The core infrastructure builds on MyHealth@EU and brings in the EU Digital Identity Wallet, so that citizens can reach and share their own health data across borders.

“Athens Digital Health Week showed what European initiatives can achieve when they build on the same foundations. Agreeing on something as everyday as a vaccination record, and showing people what the EU Digital Identity Wallet will do for them, is how cross-border digital health becomes real.” (Argiris Gkogkidis, PM, GNOMON)
