Gnomon Advances the European Health Data Space Through myHealth@myHands

🌍 Imagine falling ill on holiday in another EU country, and the doctor in front of you can read your health history in their own language, because you chose to share it from your phone.

That is the future myHealth@myHands is building, and at GNOMON we are thrilled to be part of it.

myHealth@myHands brings together health authorities, patient organisations, research centres and technology companies from across Europe around one goal: by 2030, every EU citizen should have secure online access to their own health records, and the power to decide who sees them.

🔧 Our role

GNOMON drives the project’s Core Infrastructure work, in close partnership with @CYENS Centre of Excellence. We are designing the foundation that lets people reach their health data across borders, building on MyHealth@EU and the National Contact Points for eHealth, with the EU Digital Identity Wallet putting citizens firmly in control.

We bring three decades of software engineering behind national and European projects, and eHealthPass, our patient-centred platform for frictionless health data flow across systems.

💙 Why it matters

For citizens, this is not an abstract IT project. It means:

• No more carrying paper files or repeating a complex medical history to every new doctor

• Vital information reaching clinicians without delay in an emergency abroad, in their own language

• Fewer repeated tests and procedures

• Full control over who can access your health data

This is what the European Health Data Space promises, and we are proud to help turn it into something people can truly hold in their hands.

A big thank you to the @Department of Health Ireland for coordinating, and to every partner in the consortium. The best is still ahead!
